Strong New Student Enrollment At Carthage
Carthage College begins its first full week of the new semester this week with either record or near record new-student enrollment.
Speaking on WGTD’s Morning Show last week, Carthage President John Swallow said 900 new students—either transfer students or recent high school graduates—were expected to set foot on campus.
Swallow attributes the strong enrollment to a variety of factors ranging from making the admissions process as smooth as possible to constantly re-evaluating program offerings.
Two graduate level programs—sports management and a new business program—actually have waiting lists.
