The Rita at UW-Parkside is the newest and largest facility of this type in the area. It features a 340-seat music recital hall, a 120-seat “black box” studio theatre, galleries for both professional and student art exhibitions, instructional studios, and expanded and upgraded general classrooms. The Washington Park Velodrome is the oldest operating velodrome in the country
The Washington Park Velodrome opened in 1927 and is the oldest operating velodrome in the country. It’s the only track in the state. It’s a 333 meter track with 28 degree banked corners. The track has produced many National, Olympic and World Champions over the years. In 2015-2016 the velodrome had a much needed renovation, changing the surface to concrete and increasing the corner banking.

Rettungs-Haus Shepherds, Inc. is a not-for-profit volunteer based German Shepherd Rescue, Community Outreach and Search & Rescue Resource. Many of our rescued dogs give back to our community by becoming a Search & Rescue K9, Service Dog, Therapy Dog, Detection K9, and School Resource K9. We also work with youth in our community through our Operation K9 Truth for Youth Program. In addition, Rettungs-Haus offers All Breed Obedience Training.
You will receive top-notch training from highly-trained professionals! Empower yourself with acting techniques used by Academy Award winning actors, Public Speaking strategies used in Fortune 500 Companies, and Improv Comedy taught by a 30 year veteran.
