My name is Nakia Hughes, I am a recent graduate of UW-Parkside and I have lived in Kenosha for 12 years now! I am someone who loves giving back to the community and spend lots of time volunteering with local organizations that want to better our city. Growing up, I went to Edward Bain School of Language & Art (EBSOLA) elementary school and Harborside Academy for both middle and high school. Harborside taught me the importance of community but also that the best ice cream is located in Downtown Kenosha! I enjoy Culver’s Custard and recently have been fixated on Madame Pho! Although I wasn’t born in Kenosha, it’s where I grew up and where I’m now starting my adult career and soon to be family.
