200-unit apartment complex planned in Somers
Plymouth, Minnesota-based Roers Companies plans to build a 200-unit apartment complex and a 5,093-square-foot clubhouse northwest of 12th Street and Sheridan Road in the Kenosha County village of Somers, according to plans filed with the village’s Plan Commission. Plans for the 121-acre site also include approximately 18 acres of open space for walking trails, dog parks, a playground and a sport court.
The development, named Somers Flats, would feature 200 units across 15, two-story buildings, including 40 one-bedrooms, 80 two-bedrooms, 60 three-bedrooms, and 20 four-bedrooms. Units may feature a hung balcony.
The clubhouse will feature an Amazon delivery or package hub, co-working and study spaces, a social lounge, fitness area, grilling stations and more.
The project includes 474 total parking spaces. The site is located near the University of Wisconsin – Parkside and Carthage College.
