Kenosha panel to eye plans for grocery, hotel, Pizza Ranch

Major projects fill the docket Thursday as the Kenosha Plan Commission is set to review plans for a Downtown grocery store, a new hotel, a Green Bay road restaurant, new apartment complex and more.

The meeting, which is open to the public, begins at 5 p.m. at the Municipal Building, 625 52nd St., in Room 202.

The plan commission will also review a conceptual plan for a proposed grocery store in the Alford Building, 702 58th St. Public Food Markets Inc., the group behind the Kenosha Public Market, is proposing redeveloping the Alford Building into a full-service grocery store.

According to plan commission documents, the 18,000 square foot first floor would include a grocery area and a food court; the 7,500 square foot second floor mezzanine would be a “grocery flex space;” the 18,000 square foot third floor would be an office/conference space; and the 18,000 square foot basement would be for grocery storage and grocery prepared food space.
