Category: Uncategorized

Plans for a hotel near Interstate 94 and Highway 50 in Kenosha could advance this week.

The four-story hotel would carry the TownePlace Suites by Marriott flag. Kenosha-based developer Hitesh Patel of Shiva Hotels is planning the project, which has an estimated value of $10 million.

The more than 58,000-square-foot building would be constructed on 3 acres south of 71st Street and east of 125th Avenue, according to materials submitted for city officials’ review.

The location is adjacent to the Brat Stop and Phoenix Family Restaurant.

The hotel would have an indoor pool, outdoor patio, 97 guest rooms and 105 parking spaces, according to the proposal. Rooms would include a mix of studios and one-bedrooms with king and queen beds, as well as rooms compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The lodging facility would have as many as 15 employees working during one shift.

The site for the hotel was rezoned in November from agricultural to community business district to allow for the project. Debbie and Bill Glembocki, who also own the Brat Stop, sold the land to Shiva Hotels.
