Pleasant Prairie is part of the Kenosha Unified School District (KUSD). It has three elementary schools, one charter high school - LakeView Technology Academy - and several private options for day care services / preschool through 1 2th grade.

There are a number of options for day care and preschool programs in Pleasant Prairie as well, including programs at the municipally-owned RecPlex facility. If you are looking for private and parochial schools there are a number of choices within minutes from the Village.

Preschool U's mission is to assist families while providing a nurturing environment to teach and love children. RecPlex began offering a preschool program in 2003 and is officially licensed by the Department of Children and Families. Preschool U at RecPlex currently serves 2, 3, 4 and 5 year old students. Preschool U is quality programming, not day care, that includes a wide range of activities within a caring atmosphere.

Village of Pleasant Prairie

The Village of Pleasant Prairie is part of the Kenosha Unified School District. Three elementary schools and one charter high school sit within the boundaries of the district. Students also have access to a KUSD comprehensive middle and high school. If you are looking for private and parochial schools there are a number of options within a 10 mile drive from the Village.

Public

The Village of Pleasant Prairie is part of the Kenosha Unified School District. The Kenosha Unified School District - one of the largest districts in the state, educating more than 20,000 students - serves the communities of Kenosha, Pleasant Prairie and Somers. It has 22 elementary schools, five middle schools, three high schools, five charter schools, five choice schools, one specialty school and one Head Start child development center.

Private

Every child is different and it's a good thing to have a range of different options for your child's education. Shoreland Lutheran High School, All Saints and St. Joseph Catholic Academies, Christian Life School, the Goddard School and Pleasant Prairie Renaissance are just some of the many private school options in Kenosha County. In all, there are more than 17 private/parochial K-12 schools within Kenosha County. There are many more within commuting distance in nearby Racine, Lake and Walworth counties.

LakeView is preparing students to enter the field of engineering or higher level technology

Lakeview Technology Academy was ranked 11th in the State based on the Department of Public Instructions Accountability Report Cards. Its students earn the equivalent of one year of technical college credits and/or one semester of college of engineering credits upon graduation. LTA has the highest Wisconsin Knowledge and Concepts Exam (WKCE) scores of any public high school in the Kenosha, Racine and Walworth counties.
